Beta Pi Theta Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) - International Honor Society
Dr. Kelly Kennedy-Everett, lead advisor for Phi Theta Kappa, along with co-advisors, Dr. Allison Johnson and Dr. Mariana Molina mentor chapter officers and members to provide students with high academic achievement an array of opportunities. Stemming from Phi Theta Kappa's hallmark scholarship, leadership, fellowship, and service, honor society members collectively have access to more than $39 million in scholarship money to transfer universities and workforce opportunities.
The faculty advisors also supervise Beta Pi Theta's Honors in Action project, an annual honors programming that includes academic research and service/action for an identified need. Fellowship events and multiple service events take place throughout the academic year giving students well-rounded educational opportunities to develop, not only as students and honor society members, but also as global citizens.
