Learning Resources

Embedded Tutoring

Faculty may request embedded tutoring to provide students with direct academic support within the classroom or through dedicated sessions tied to their course. Embedded tutors work closely with instructors to reinforce course content, assist students with assignments, and support learning objectives.

Collection Development

Librarians strive to develop and maintain a relevant, authoritative collection of print and online resources that meets our students' information needs, promotes literacy, and encourages life-long learning.

Request Library Instruction

Information Literacy instruction, conducted in the library or in the classroom, helps your students formulate strategies to locate, evaluate, and apply information (L.O. #4). Librarians teach research skills using both online and print resources. Each instruction is tailored to the research needs of the class. To learn more, connect with a librarian.

Suggest Materials for the Collection

Faculty may recommend the purchase of materials to add to the library collection. Please note that the library does not generally purchase textbooks.

Library Reserve Request Form

Faculty may place materials on Reserve for student use. Please deliver the completed and signed form along with all materials to the Library Circulation Desk. Please allow one week for processing.

Refer a Student for Tutoring

Faculty may refer a student for tutoring and request one-on-one academic support.

Tutoring is also available at some campuses through individual departments. More information about tutoring and tutoring locations can be found on our Tutoring LibGuide.
