TeachTok 2.0 welcomed Highschool Teaching Academy students for an energizing day filled with hands-on activities, meaningful conversations, and inspiring experiences.
From interactive breakout sessions and campus tours to student spotlights and a special MOU signing ceremony with Junior Achievement of Miami, the kickoff event showcased the excitement, innovation, and real-world impact of the teaching profession. Presented by Miami Dade College and the South Florida Educational Consortium, the Educator Empowerment Summit was a full-day gathering designed to celebrate, inspire and activate MDC's commitment to strengthening the teacher pipeline and advancing the future of education.
ExCEL Educator Retreats
The ExCel Educator Retreat successfully united educators from across the county in a collaborative effort to reinvent the future of education. Anchored by the guiding philosophy that while talent is universal, opportunity is not, the event fostered strategic discussions designed to shape and advance our local educational landscape.
Crucially, this initiative reinforces Miami Dade College’s core identity as an "open-door institution." By prioritizing the empowerment of the 99% of our community over selecting just the top 1%, the retreat aligns perfectly with our institutional mission to equip all students with the vital, future-ready skills they need to succeed.
