AI Mentorship
NAAIC will provide mentorship to a selected number of community colleges in developing and implementing an AI associate degree. The mentorship will be based on MDC, HCC and MCCCD’s experience, National AI BILT feedback, and resources from industry partners. Each college selected will be provided with a Faculty Mentor who will provide direction and support throughout the AI program's development and execution for one academic year.
Community colleges selected for mentorship will also have the following benefits:
- Priority access to faculty professional development activities
- Travel stipend for faculty to attend NAAIC’s annual AI Summit
- Assistance to develop a local BILT
- Access to NAAIC’s repository of AI content and resources
- Direct support from NAAIC’s industry partners for curriculum implementation
- Guidance to establish a targeted plan to recruit an underrepresented population of students for the program
Eligibility
Only community colleges accredited in the United States are eligible to apply. Applicants must demonstrate full support from one faculty lead and one senior administrator from their institution. Additionally, the institution should be able to complete the AI program development and implement at least one AI-related course during the mentorship period.
