Purpose
The President’s "On the Spot" Award is designed to reward someone (full-time or part-time) for a meaningful act that will have lasting positive effects on students, faculty, staff, or visitors. The President’s “On the Spot” Award is your opportunity to nominate a colleague for their extraordinary action. Please describe the specific action exhibited by the nominee that will have a lasting positive effect on students, faculty, staff, or visitors.
Criteria
- Action took place within last six (6) months
- Members of the MDC community may nominate
- Nominator cannot be a relative of the nominee as defined in College Procedure 2121: Nepotism
- Self-nominations are not accepted for this award
Eligibility
- Nominee must have been employed with MDC for a minimum of one (1) year prior to the application deadline
- Nominee must have a history of good standing in their Personnel file
- Nominee must be an Active Employee.
- Employees in Pay Grade 18 and above are not eligible for this award
Award Recognition
- This award will only be granted if there are qualified nominations
- The award will include an “On the Spot” certificate and special parking spot on campus for up to three (3) months
