Purpose
The President’s Service Excellence Award is granted to any MDC department, or division that has:
Contributed to the enhancement of service excellence at the College
- Provide specific examples of enhancement
- Provide number of customers assisted that were satisfied (quantify)
Proven exceptional creativity in "going the extra mile" to provide service to students, faculty and/or staff with timely and appropriate follow-up
- Provide testimonials from students, faculty or staff (i.e. identify comments that share the sentiment “going the extra mile, etc.)
Confirmed responsiveness to the needs of students, faculty, staff and the community
- Demonstrate improvement of customer service and satisfaction
- Provide evidence of changes based on feedback - Demonstrate implementation for improvement of services
Criteria
- Previous President’s Service Excellence Award recipients are not eligible for another award until one year after the initial award date.
- This award will only be granted if there are qualified nominations.
Eligibility
- All MDC departments are eligible. Self-nominations are accepted. Members of the College community may nominate departments for this award.
Award Recognition
Award will include a “Going the Extra Mile” recognition to be displayed in the department and a pizza lunch or ice cream social presented by the College President and/or College Provost.
