English for Academic Purposes
-
English for Academic Purposes (EAP) is a six level program designed to prepare students to read, write, speak, and listen at a level that enables them to succeed in college courses.
EAP courses are offered every semester and last for 16 weeks in the fall and spring semesters, or 12 weeks in summer.
EAP students in Levels 4-6 simultaneously take a college course that is part of their academic path for a credit load of 12 EAP credits per semester, plus 3 or 4 additional credits for their concurrent enrollment course.
At the Hialeah Campus, we offer morning classes M-W-F or T-R (starting at 7:00 am) and evening classes M-W or TR (starting at 5:40 pm). Most full-time students attend classes three to four days a week. -
